ABOUT
Tina is a visual artist based in Brussels, Belgium. She creates vibrant and playful compositions of abstract objects, using mostly acrylics and mixed media on canvas and paper.
She loves to paint and draw in bright limited palettes of colours. Her works vary in size and media. She likes to experiment with different techniques including inks, pastels, crayons, collage papers, working with unconventional tools. Her body of work is very joyful and full of details, using lines and dots as one of her most favorite mark-making. Creating visual art is her biggest passion since forever.
Tina likes to reference her work to movies and songs important to her, sometimes creating series featuring movie directors, while capturing this feeling she tries to offer even fuller experience to the viewer. Tina’s wish is to create the moment of calmness, beauty, joy and inspiration for people.

"I hope your time spent here will be an inspiration for you and hopefully you feel addressed by some of my ways of looking at world around us.
It all started when I was 2 years old.
Drawing, painting, or rather pretending to do some of it combined with deep thoughts of why this and that animal has to have only ONE eye (and not TWO) when being drawn from the profile...yes, this might have been the start.
And yet some of mine had TWO eyes even when drawn from profile and still they remain pure and funny and more interesting somehow.
And this is how I am, looking for the beauty, that might be unseen by others and fighting for what I like, running against the wall sometimes, which feels so good but only after some time.
My undeniable love to Andrei Tarkowski, Michalangelo Antonioni and Fatih Akin has left some trace as well.
Clear but hidden, melancholic and somehow untouchable yet calm and joyful seeking for unlimited freedom in the widest sense, also this is my way.

I am happy if I manage to capture the inner voice of things and people, but this is rare and has to be carefully digged for.
Sometimes received by pure chance and surprise, sudden and unpredicted, just to be able to see that.

My love to cinema found its way in visual art being of a logical consequence.
I wish I could combine all visual expressions, including photography, drawing, painting, collage, placing different objects creating 3D works, as all these are my passions.
We are lucky, the ones who can write and read this, so let's express ourselves as ways of expression are unlimited. Let's start to DARE to dream, write, sing, draw, play, take pictures, study, laugh, run, cook, dance, travel...or anything we feel like! Courage! With LOVE, Tina"
